About My Bass Fishing Guide
This is a Texas bass fishing site. We cover three East Texas lakes: Lake Fork, Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend.
That’s it. That’s the list. We’re not a national magazine. The other 49 states can manage without us.
What we do
- Lake pages with season-by-season basics, ramps, license reminders and the special rules.
- A Guides hub so you can book someone who fishes the lake every week.
- Gear reviews that include a “who should skip this” section, because not everyone needs a new graph. (Your spouse agrees.)
How we handle facts
- Lake sizes, records, regulations and license rules come from official sources like Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Sabine River Authority and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We link them at the bottom of each page.
- Guide rates come from each guide’s own website, with the date we checked.
- If we can’t verify something, we leave it out.
- No invented fish stories. When we catch a 12-pounder, you’ll know, because it’ll be the only thing on the homepage for a month.
This site is run by Todd Lavergne. He would rather you learn the slot limit here than from a game warden.
How we make money
Some links pay us a commission when you book a trip or buy gear. You don’t pay extra. The full plain-English version is on our affiliate disclosure page.
