Affiliate disclosure
Short version: Some links pay us a commission if you book or buy. You do not pay extra.
Longer version, in plain English:
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a tracked link to another company’s site. If you click it and book a trip or buy something, that company may pay us a small commission. Your price is the same either way.
The commission never changes what we say about a lake, a guide or a product. If something isn’t worth your money, we’ll say so, and every review gets a “who should skip this” section.
Programs we’re in today
Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We only use Amazon for small accessories.
That’s the whole list right now. We may add other booking or retailer programs later, like guided-trip booking sites or tackle shops. When we do, we’ll name them on this page and disclose them the same way.
“Guides we call direct”
Some pages have a box called “Guides we call direct.” Those guides do not pay us. There’s no referral fee and no deal. We list them so you can call them yourself.
If that ever changes, we’ll update this page and the box before it happens, not after.
Where you’ll see the disclosure
Every page with a money link carries this line near the top: “Some links pay us a commission if you book or buy. You do not pay extra.” It links back here.

If something here isn’t clear, ask us. We’d rather explain it than have you wonder.
